Benefits of solar
Benefits of Adding Solar to your Home
Solar panels convert sunlight into clean electricity, reducing your reliance on the grid and lowering your monthly energy bills. With government incentives still available, solar energy is a smart investment for many homes.
Lower energy bills
Installing solar panels allows you to generate your own electricity, cutting reliance on expensive grid energy. Over time, this translates into significant savings on monthly utility bills.
Increased property value
Homes with solar PV systems are more attractive to buyers seeking energy efficiency and sustainability. Adding solar can boost your property’s market value and appeal.
Reduce your carbon footprint
Solar energy is clean and renewable, helping to lower harmful emissions. Choosing solar means actively contributing to a greener future.
Energy independence
By producing your own power, you’re less affected by rising energy costs. Battery storage options also allow you to use stored energy when you need it most.
Low maintenance costs
Solar PV systems are durable and require minimal upkeep to perform efficiently. With occasional checks and cleaning, they can last for decades.

Home Solar FAQs
How much money can I save with solar?
Every home is different, but the average UK household can save up to 70% on electricity bills by installing solar panels. Want to see what you could save? Get a free, no-obligation quote today!
Will solar panels work on my home's roof?
Most roofs in East Anglia are ideal for solar. We assess every roof’s sustainability during our free consultation.
Is my roof strong enough for solar?
Most roofs are strong enough to support a PV installation without any reinforcement, but we will perform a site survey and make an assessment of this prior to installation. Once your system is installed you will also receive an engineer’s roof appraisal to demonstrate your roof is capable of taking the weight of the solar panels.
Can I store my excess energy?
Yes! We offer battery storage solutions so you can use your solar energy even when the sun isn’t shining.
How much roof space is needed?
This depends on the amount of power you want to produce but normally installations are a minimum of about 1kW peak power which will need approximate 5 square metres of roof space.
Will my panels need regular cleaning?
Solar panels are made with self cleaning glass so in most cases they don’t need regular cleaning. If however you are in a particularly dusty area, then your panels would benefit from being kept clean.
Do I need planning permission to install solar on my home?
In most cases the answer is no. Installation of solar panels usually falls under permitted development rights.
How long does domestic solar installation take?
Most domestic systems are installed in 1-2 days with minimal disruption.
